Tour Program: Day 1
We depart in the morning around 8:00 in good spirits. We will visit a temple nestled in lush greenery for the Melukat ceremony -- this is a sacred place where believers can draw closer to the divine and experience spiritual enlightenment. Water plays an important role in purification and renewal rituals. Water symbolizes purity and new beginnings. The water purification ceremony is a sacred ritual for cleansing the mind, body, and spirit. The ceremony removes negative influences, dispels the evil eye and illness, helps with fertility, and brings prosperity.
We will stop by the coffee plantations where the most expensive coffee in the world is produced -- Luwak coffee. This is a special type of coffee made from beans digested by the Luwak (civet), a very friendly animal. The civet selects and consumes only the ripest and tastiest coffee cherries. We will learn about the coffee production process, sample various types of coffee and tea, including Luwak coffee, which has an extraordinary taste and aroma and is one of the rarest and most expensive coffee varieties in the world.
We will drive along mountain serpentines with breathtaking views. We will stop at a restaurant on the volcano caldera with a view of the active Mount Batur, standing at 1,717 m above sea level. We will learn the history of eruptions and journey into the past. Transfer to the hotel and check-in to your selected rooms. Rest and relaxation. Enjoy a swim in the hot springs on the hotel grounds and take in the starry night sky.
