Tour Program

Munduk Tour (1 Day)

We depart in the morning around 8:00 in great spirits.

We'll visit the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces — the most expansive and beautiful on the island of Bali, covering an area of about three hundred hectares. They are a true gem of Bali's rural landscape and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the afternoon, clouds descend, creating a special atmosphere. It can be quite cool here, as the rice fields are situated at an elevation of about 700 meters above sea level.

When you first see the Jatiluwih Terraces, the grandeur and beauty of this place takes your breath away. Endless rows of green rice paddies cascading down the hillsides create a magical landscape that seems almost unreal.

The terraces were created by the hands of local farmers who have preserved and perfected traditional farming methods over the centuries. They still use the unique and ancient Subak irrigation system, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sometimes you can still see farmers plowing the fields with water buffalo, slowly and steadily guiding their animals along the narrow paths between the terraces. This sight is reminiscent of ancient times, when technology had not yet entered everyday life and all the work was done by hand.

We'll stop at Munduk Waterfall, which is surrounded by dense tropical forests and plantations.

We'll immerse ourselves in a wonderful atmosphere of tranquility and beauty, enjoying the untouched nature. We'll visit the coffee plantations, where the most expensive coffee in the world is grown — Luwak. This is a special type of coffee made from beans digested by the Luwak — also known as the Asian palm civet, a very friendly animal. It selects and consumes only the tastiest and ripest coffee cherries. We'll learn about the coffee production process and taste different varieties of coffee and tea, including Luwak coffee, which is distinguished by its unique flavor and aroma and is one of the rarest and most expensive coffee varieties in the world.

We'll visit the crater Lakes Buyan and Tamblingan, which formed in the caldera of an ancient volcano. These lakes were once a single body of water, but after an earthquake, a land bridge formed, dividing them into two separate lakes.

Lake Tamblingan, the smaller of the two, captivates with its remarkable beauty and serenity. Local residents hold the lake in great reverence and consider it sacred. According to legend, when an unknown illness swept through the local population, the lake's water cured them. Your guide will lift the veil and share the fascinating history that holds many secrets and legends.

We'll stop to feel the special atmosphere of this place, located at an altitude of one thousand meters above sea level. This is why you can observe how low-hanging clouds swirl above the lakes and Mount Lesung, and as they descend, they cover the area with a veil of mist, lending a mysterious and mystical appearance.

We'll descend to Lake Tamblingan, where the Pura Ulun Danu Tamblingan temple stands. After rains, the water level in the lake rises and floods the temple, adding to its mystique. We'll stroll along the lake to the temple and capture stunning photographs.

We'll visit Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, built in 1633 and dedicated to the goddess of lakes, Dewi Danu. The temple is one of the most important and sacred on the island. Here you can strongly sense the connection with nature and spirituality that permeates the entire island of Bali. We'll walk through the temple grounds with a picturesque view of crater Lake Beratan and the mountains.

This place is ideal for meditation and attuning yourself to harmony with yourself and the world around you. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the grandeur and serenity of this unique Balinese temple.
