Snorkeling with Dolphins (1 Day)

You've probably visited a dolphinarium at least once, even if only as a child. But can you imagine meeting dolphins in their natural habitat — in the open ocean? It's pure magic to watch pods of these graceful creatures gliding through the depths, playing and communicating with each other. And yes, "creatures" is no mistake. Dolphins are not fish — they're mammals. They have no gills and breathe air, though they can hold their breath for 10–15 minutes. In Bali, dolphins can be found in the Pacific Ocean, off the northern part of the island, specifically in the Bali Sea. In the mornings, they swim into the Bali Sea, and that's exactly where the excursion boats head. Here in Lovina, you can also swim in bioluminescent plankton after sunset. What does it look like? (See the 2-Day/1-Night Tour) Imagine the Milky Way flipped upside down into the ocean, flooding the water's surface with millions of sparkling stars — that's the spectacle you'll witness.

What awaits us?

  • Snorkeling with dolphins from a boat
  • Buddhist Temple
  • Lakes Tamblingan and Buyan
  • Waterfall
  • Luwak Coffee Plantations — the most expensive coffee in the world!

Tour Program

Snorkeling with Dolphins (1 Day)

At 3 AM you need to be ready at your hotel reception (departure time depends on your hotel location). We head to the north of the island.

At 7:00 we jump into a boat and race off in search of dolphins in the Bali Sea.

You've probably never seen dolphins this close in the wild... To swim with dolphins underwater, you don't need a diving suit — a snorkeling mask and tube are all you need. The boat sets off at dawn, and within minutes you'll be able to admire the dolphins' synchronized leaps above the water and the mesmerizing sight of them playing and singing in the underwater depths. Yes, dolphins can "sing" underwater. In reality, it's not quite singing — they communicate with each other using a language of gestures and sounds. Some of these "words" are produced at ultrasonic frequencies, while others are audible to the human ear. We'll watch and snorkel with the dolphins. Imagine swimming alongside a pod of dolphins, seeing and hearing them underwater. Believe us, these are truly unforgettable impressions!

We sail to a stunning coral reef and dive into another world — the underwater realm of the Pacific Ocean... Nemo guarding his home, and there goes Dory flashing by, and if you look closely, we spot an octopus camouflaging itself as coral, changing its color. We swim on, and there's a green sea turtle gliding through the water — how wonderful the underwater world is, isn't it?! We snorkel and enjoy exploring the marine life of the amazing island of Bali.

Return to shore.

Breakfast*

Brahmavihara Arama — the largest Buddhist monastery in Bali, located in the scenic hills of Banjar. This temple, also known as the "Banyujing Buddhist Monastery," impresses with its architecture and atmosphere of tranquility. Built in a traditional Balinese style with elements of Buddhist architecture, the temple is surrounded by beautiful gardens, lily ponds, and Buddha statues. The quiet pathways and meditative zones invite visitors to reflection and inner peace. A notable feature of the temple is its miniature replica of the famous Borobudur, one of the largest Buddhist temples in the world. Here you can also see beautiful frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Buddha. Brahmavihara Arama radiates an atmosphere of harmony and serenity, making it an ideal place for spiritual retreat and meditation. A visit to this temple will leave a deep impression and give you a sense of inner peace.

We'll visit the crater Lakes Buyan and Tamblingan, which formed in the caldera of an ancient volcano. These lakes were once a single body of water, but after an earthquake, a land bridge formed, dividing them into two separate lakes. Lake Tamblingan is the smallest and stands out for its remarkable beauty and silence. Local residents hold the lake in great reverence and consider it sacred. According to legend, when an unknown illness swept through the local population, the lake's water cured them. Your guide will lift the veil and share the fascinating history that holds many secrets and legends.

We'll stop to feel the special atmosphere of this place, located at an altitude of one thousand meters above sea level. This is why you can observe how low-hanging clouds swirl above the lakes and Mount Lesung, and as they descend, they cover the area with a veil of mist, lending a mysterious and mystical appearance.

We'll head to Banyumala Waterfall — one of the most beautiful and picturesque waterfalls on the island. It is surrounded by dense tropical forests and green hills, through which we'll walk and descend to the waterfall, which consists of several cascades and has two levels. On the first level, the waterfall forms a beautiful pool where you can swim, while the second level is taller and more impressive.

We'll visit the coffee plantations, where the most expensive coffee in the world is grown — Luwak. This is a special type of coffee made from beans digested by the Luwak — also known as the Asian palm civet, a very friendly animal. It selects and consumes only the tastiest and ripest coffee cherries. We'll learn about the coffee production process and taste different varieties of coffee and tea, including Luwak coffee, which is distinguished by its unique flavor and aroma and is one of the rarest and most expensive coffee varieties in the world.
