Tour Program

Mount Batur and the Water Temple (1 Day)

We begin our journey at night, timing it so that by 3:30 AM we arrive at the foot of Mount Batur. With the best guides, we start our ascent to the summit of Mount Batur, where we'll charge up with the positive energy of the rising sun and meet the dawn at an altitude of 1,717 meters above sea level, warming ourselves with hot tea while enjoying panoramic views of Mount Abang and Mount Agung, as well as Mount Rinjani on the neighboring island of Lombok. Where else can you stand on one volcano and look at two others?!

We'll walk around the volcano crater, where little monkeys have found their home! Don't forget to bring them some treats! Batur is an active volcano with many fissures from which hot steam escapes - feel the breath of the volcano! We'll learn how sacred volcanic water, infused with the power of the volcano, is extracted. Then we'll prepare a simple breakfast on the "breath" of the volcano and have a feast on the volcano crater with a beautiful view of Lake Batur, Mount Abang, and the island of Bali.

And there's still much more ahead - we'll head to the sacred Lake Batur and visit the water temple with a stunning view of Mount Abang.

After gathering a wealth of diverse impressions, we'll head to lunch* at a cafe on the caldera of Mount Batur with a stunning view of it and Mount Abang.

We'll visit the coffee plantations where the world's most expensive coffee - Luwak is grown. This is a special type of coffee made from beans digested by the Luwak (Asian palm civet), a very friendly animal. It selects and eats only the tastiest and ripest coffee beans. We'll learn about the coffee production process and taste different types of coffee and tea, including Luwak coffee, which is distinguished by its unusual flavor and aroma and is one of the rarest and most expensive coffee varieties in the world.

Return to the hotel.
